jaimini maharṣikṛtaṁ upadeśa sutra
prathamādhayāye prathamaḥ pādaḥ
upadeśa vyākhyāsyāmaḥ||1||
abhipaśyanti ṛkṣāṇi pārśvabhe ca ||2||
tatriṣṭhāśca tadvat|| 3||
dāra bhāgya śulasyārgalā nidhayātuḥ|| 4||
kāmasthā bhuyasā pāpānām || 5||
ripha nīca kāmasthā virodhinaḥ|| 6||
na nyunā vibalāśca || 7||
prāgvat nnkoṇe|| 8||
viparītaṁ ketoḥ || 9||
ātmādhikaḥ kalādibhirnabhogaḥ saptānāmaṣṭamānyaṁ vā|| 10||
sa īṣṭe bandhāmokṣayoḥ|| 11||
tasyānusaraṇādamātyaḥ||12||
tasya bhrātā|| 13||
tasya mātā || 14||
tasya pitā|| 15||
tasya putraḥ|| 16||
tasya jñātiḥ|| 17||
tasya dārāśca|| 18||
mātra saha punnmeke|| 19||
bhāginyārataḥ śyālaḥ kanīyān jananī ceti || 20||
mātulādayo bandhāvo mātṛsajātiyā ityurataḥ || 21||
pitamahau pati putraviti gurumukhādeva jānīyāt|| 22||
patnī pitarau śvasurau mātāmahā ityantevāsinaḥ|| 23||
mando jyāyān graheṣu || 24||
prācī vṛttirviṣameṣu|| 25||
parā vṛttyottareṣu|| 26||
na kvacit|| 27||
nāthāntāḥ samāḥ prāyeṇa|| 28||
yāvadvivekamāvṛttirbhānām|| 29||
yāvadīśāśrayaṁ padamṛkṣāṇām|| 30||

जैमिनि महर्षिकृतं उपदेश सुत्र

उपदेश व्याख्यास्यामः॥१॥
अभिपश्यन्ति ऋक्षाणि पार्श्वभे च॥२॥
तत्रिष्ठाश्च तद्वत्॥ ३॥
दार भाग्य शुलस्यार्गला निधयातुः॥ ४॥
कामस्था भुयसा पापानाम्॥ ५॥
रिफ नीच कामस्था विरोधिनः॥ ६॥
न न्युना विबलाश्च॥ ७॥
प्राग्वत् न्न्कोणे॥ ८॥
विपरीतं केतोः॥ ९॥
आत्माधिकः कलादिभिर्नभोगः सप्तानामष्टमान्यं वा॥ १०॥
स ईष्टे बन्धामोक्षयोः॥ ११॥
तस्यानुसरणादमात्यः॥१२॥
तस्य भ्राता॥ १३॥
तस्य माता॥ १४॥
तस्य पिता॥ १५॥
तस्य पुत्रः॥ १६॥
तस्य ज्ञातिः॥ १७॥
तस्य दाराश्च॥ १८॥
मात्र सह पुन्न्मेके॥ १९॥
भागिन्यारतः श्यालः कनीयान् जननी चेति॥ २०॥
मातुलादयो बन्धावो मातृसजातिया इत्युरतः॥ २१॥
पितमहौ पति पुत्रविति गुरुमुखादेव जानीयात्॥ २२॥
पत्नी पितरौ श्वसुरौ मातामहा इत्यन्तेवासिनः॥ २३॥
मन्दो ज्यायान् ग्रहेषु॥ २४॥
प्राची वृत्तिर्विषमेषु॥ २५॥
परा वृत्त्योत्तरेषु॥ २६॥
न क्वचित्॥ २७॥
नाथान्ताः समाः प्रायेण॥ २८॥
यावद्विवेकमावृत्तिर्भानाम्॥ २९॥
यावदीशाश्रयं पदमृक्षाणाम्॥ ३०॥
